The story behind our wins:

“Local performing arts centre and café nominated in London-wide awards.”

Stratford Circus and Circus Eats were nominated for Best Neighbourhood Theatre and Best Neighbourhood Restaurant in the annual Smooth Radio LOVE LONDON AWARDS.

The annual Smooth Radio Love London Awards with AllinLondon.co.uk are a celebration of real places that real Londoners like you love. Londoners nominated for their favourites in their droves and we made the shortlist.

Josanne Cobham, Marketing and PR Co-ordinator from Stratford Circus encouraged the Stratford Circus audiences to vote for their local theatre and restaurant by sending out an e-flyer to all staff, contacts, students at NewVIc, friends, family and via word of mouth. The Stratford Circus website also encouraged people to vote, alongside posters put up visible in the venue and bar area.

On Tuesday 23rd March Stratford Circus and Circus Eats (Stratford Circus’ in-house restaurant) were both notified that they had been nominated by the public, and had made it into the top 10 finalists in each of their categories.

This was the first time Stratford Circus and Circus Eats have encouraged people to vote and nominate them for a LOVE LONDON AWARD.

Stratford Circus made it to the top 10 with the following theatres: The artsdepot, Camden People’s Theatre, Chickenshed, Hackney Empire, Menier Chocolate Fcatory, Orange Tree Theatre, Rosemary Branch Theatre, Soho Theatre and Wimbledon Theatre

Circus Eats made it to the top 10 with the following restaurants: Banners, Eat 17, Emile’s Restaurant, The Guru, La Rugoletta, Pane Vino, Pullens Dining Room and Bar, Siam Café and Udaya.
