The Big Frank Thanks

FRANK street marketing volunteers taking part in dance workshop

The Big FRANK Thanks was a full day of creative arts activities and workshops at Stratford Circus in August 2006. These workshops were exclusively for FRANK street marketing volunteers aged 15-19. FRANK is the government’s anti drugs campaign and they wanted to thank the 300 young people who had volunteered their time through out the year with a fun day.

The young people came from all over the country and they got to participate in a mixture of both performing and visual arts workshops, they gained new skills in:

  • Circus Skills
  • Collage/Visual arts
  • Graffiti tags
  • T-shirt design
  • Jewellery making
  • Physical Theatre
  • Street dance
  • Film making
  • Rap and beatbox
  • Special Effects Makeup
  • Film storyboarding

These workshops were facilitated by Stratford Circus’ resident organisations Theatre Venture, East London Dance and Circus Media as well as the Stratford Picture House and other arts organisations.
