Free Family Learning Taster Days at Stratford Circus

Part of the Learning Revolution Festival

Come and take part in something fun with your family, meet new people and enjoy learning new skills.

Sunday 25th October

Circus Skills
Times: 11.00am – 1.30pm
You’ll have the chance to try work with a professional circus artist to try juggling, plate spinning, diabolo and acrobalancing.
Open to: Parents and their children aged 6 – 9.

Saturday 31st October

Animation: Me and My Dad Built a Spaceship and We Went To…
Times: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Fathers and sons will work together to make up their own story creating backgrounds and using stop motion animation to show where they would travel to in their spaceship.
Open to: Dad’s and their sons aged 9 plus

3D Art…Make a dream house.
Times: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Working as a whole family you will make a miniature house out of paper or fabric and then decorate your little sculptures and fill them with whatever you desire.  They will all be displayed in Stratford Circus as a little dream village exhibition after the workshop and then families can take their dream houses home.
Open to: Family groups of 2 – 4 people – children (aged 7 plus), parents, grandparents – the whole family is welcome

Make a film in a day.
Times: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Each family group will get to make their own film, gaining skills in basic storyboarding, composition, shooting and basic editing
Open to: ‘New’ families – groups of 2 – 4 people from families with fostered or adopted young people aged 12 – 18

(One member of each group must be 19 or over)
