Work experience

Stratford Circus is committed to supporting worthwhile work placements and internships for people interested in gaining experience in the creative industries.

Demand is very high and we cannot accommodate all requests.  Currently we support twenty-four placements from students at schools in Newham each year and up to three from people of higher education level.

Students on work placements gain experience in a variety of roles including; front of house, office administration, and event management, as well as ushering and assisting with the opening and closing of shows.

At Stratford Circus placements will get an insight into working at a busy arts centre, which regularly presents dance, circus, theatre and music events. In addition to this they will acquire skills in customer service, review writing, and have the opportunity to observe, practically assist and join in classes such as our Children’s Creative Club.
